Spring is here! Join us on Saturday April 29th as we celebrate the reopening of the store with a wine tasting from Stina Cellars, whose proprietors were the Leidig family, previous owners of the store. We hope to see you there! The Silver Bay Cottage is available for rental all year.

How many people live on Shaw?
About 250 year round; slightly more during the summer.

What about accommodations?
The store offers a cottage on the water (360-468-2288). Camping is available at Shaw Island County Park or Blind Island State Park. There are no hotels or B and B's, but vacation rentals are sometimes available.

How big is the island?
Roughly five miles long and three miles wide.

Can you fly to Shaw?
Yes, but only by floatplane (the airstrip is private). Kenmore Air flies from Lake Union in Seattle and will stop at the Neck Point marina upon request.

Where can kayaks be launched?
At the county park where the beach is public.

Is there a public boat ramp?
There is no launching ramp, but you can tie up at the marina by the store.
